- Position you as an expert in your field
What are we looking for?
We like to see well-researched and original articles of between 1000 and 1500 words. Include tips and action plans that will produce visible results for our readers. Submissions should never have been published elsewhere. You are welcome to repost the blog once it has been posted on Digerati Marketing, however you should include a notification that it was originally posted on Digerati Marketing and provide a link to the original article.
Any claims you make must be backed by credible references and links. Include worked examples and graphics, but do not include stock photos that add nothing to the text.
What topics are we interested in?
We seek articles in the areas of:
- Digital marketing tools
- Email marketing and automation
- Social media
- Content marketing
- Search engine optimization
- Omni-channel marketing
What are we unlikely to publish?
- Articles dealing with offline marketing channels
- Syndicated content
- Posts that are too technical or vague
What do we think makes a great article?
It’s Conversational: Writing in first or second person makes your article sound casual and inviting. Think of your guest post as a personal letter to each reader.
It’s Simple: While we want well-supported arguments and you need to include facts and statistics, you should keep the writing simple. Remember that simple is not the same as simplistic. Paragraphs should be short and headers need to be used.
It Tells A Story: Our purpose in having a blog is as much to entertain as to inform so keep your posts interesting and relevant.
It has a Strong Beginning and Ending: Our readers need to know what to expect from your article and what they have learned by the end. Ensure you have solid introductory and concluding paragraphs.
Who is our audience?
Our blog aims to assist digital marketers to optimize their marketing efforts, so our readers are marketing professionals, entrepreneurs and small business owners. They are generally time poor, and appreciate succinct, informative articles that are easy to read and apply.
They love to read productivity and creativity tips, and hate time-wasting filler.
